Discrimination against disabled people.

Disabled people are the largest minority group in existence, making up over 16% of the world’s population, and one day, that will include you. If that feels like a threat, it’s because ableism is so prevalent in society that all of us have internalised it, meaning that we consider disability an inherently negative, tragic, or bad thing, even though it is natural and unavoidable.

Many people are not aware of the term ableism, and even disabled people can be unaware that they are experiencing ableism, or that there is something that can be done about it! Here’s what you can do to reduce ableism.
